The Chamber Of Commers is a very usefull organisation and will be in the phone directory. They help small businesses and also arrange free training days for you to go to. They give good advise and will tell you about business plans ect and if your business is a good idea they can also put you in the right direction of funding.

Darren, I was at the bookstore yesterday & looking up info on this very topic. I would say choose a book on the topic & study it with your partner. It will defenitely show you all the tricks to succeed in your venture. Good luck.
