The correct answer to your question would be that you're asking the wrong question.
Why are you asking or insinuating that America is somehow to blame for Malaysia's suffering. You should be asking yourself, why are you blaming someone else for your suffering.
All the suffering that you or a country endure is caused by your own and your countrymen. The solution to your problem or your countrys' problem is staring right back at you when you face the mirror.

huh? I've been living here since 2002 and have never heard of such a claim. they, like the rest of the world, hate American foreign policy and what America is doing to Muslims the world over but they don't blame the US for their own personal/politcal problems.
