Reading numerous articles and posts from England bashing Beckham, I wonder how can a nation that loves football so much speak ill about the closest thing they ever had to a living image of those 3 lions on that proud flag? Beckham NEVER claimed he was the best, he never used his looks and status to somehow elevate his footballing skills. But without him England might not even have beaten Ecaudor this year, for certain not GREECE or did we all forget. Not Argentina.Or is that forgotten too 'Will ManUTD score? they always score' who supplied the corners during that magical night? No one receives so much blame for so little wrong as Beckham. Lose his temper once and the screaming last a year. While a little boy by the name of Wayne Rooney loses his temper and a certain Portugal winger is blamed instead. Rooney too might be a lion, and in skills he perhaps have already surpassed Beckham. But he will never bring that magic that glamour that soul to England for it is already in Madrid.

beckham is very good at what he does
he just likes to well in all he does if he ran the world and got us all out off the **** and lowed taxes and made it a 3 day working week he would be a god to us all but beacuse he plays football and gets loads of cash people have ago at him yes hes rich but he is good ! and its not his fault hes good looking xkx

David Beckham is a good footballer and surprised me by doing a pretty good job as Captain of the England team
He's improved himself since he first started. When he first started being interviewed, he could hardly string a coherent sentence together, now he is pretty articulate.
His wife however! The failed pop singer! She is one of those people who is famous for being famous.
If she hadn't married a footballer, she would have gone the way of most of the other Spice Girls

He has been far too overhyped over the years considering how much he earns i'd expect him to be scoring goals all the time, he's gotten money out of doing ziltch, the money needs to go to doctors etc instead who save lives, he's just a ****. Anyone who buys his merchandise is furthering his greed, even though most of his supporters have hardly two pennies to rub together, he dosn't care about his fans, just that the money keeps rolling in. And he's not very good looking either just hyped by the media, I wouldn't look at him twice if he was an ordinary fella passing me by in the street.

Beckham, Rooney and all the premier ponces are crap, over paid and over rated. Its only idiots like you who pay to watch them that lets them get away with weekly rubbish performances without getting the sack. Yet alone the antics they get up to off the field!
Lets go back to non-pro football, and hope Rugby union does not go the same way as football!

I think he has shot himself in the foot really! Well his wife has, she publicises him so much and makes it look like he´s better than most people when he really is just simple. Noone likes a show-off!
When you stick your head out there at some point you´ll hit a pole and theres no way back.

why do people criticise beckham? i feel so sorry for that man b/c he just gets a load of **** for no reason. he is a good footballer, just not as good as he was. just like every footballer as they get older. he is a good role model and a brill dad to his kids.
if i colud take the critisism for him i would. people just have no respect for him even hough they don't no the guy. personaly i think all you haters is just jealous of him because he is so talented and HOTTTTTTTTTTT.

i won't say that he's crap. he's done his part and might even been a role model for teens once. but hey things change and this is life. but media are always out to get those falling down and there to lift who's going up. so i won't even care about what media says. you like him and that's it, you'll continue to like him. that's what i think.
