Enemies have existed throughout history for governments. Leonardo da Vinci was a contractor for the military complex in his era. There have always been people willing to profit from conflict regardless of whom the enemy was, ergo, the people that reap benefits want to have a justification for the expenditures. However, its hard to argue against a strong defense system the day after the anniversary of 9-1-1.

The USA has enemy's for reasons besides having a military. We help feed and cloth the same ones that calls us evil and hate us and there own country will kill them first the USA needs to stop helping overseas and let them fend for themselves.

My friend, you've been watching too many Oliver Stone movies and reading The New York Times too fervently. If I were you, I'd cancel my subscription.
Eisenhower did no one any favors when he came up with that crap.
Little did he know that fifty something years later it would be used as a reason for America to blame itself for 9/11.

Its about money! Always has been, always will be....
