I've been asked to do a 5 minute "in the graveyard spot", what on earth am I required to do?

The Graveyard slot is normally just before lunch when everybody is thinking about their food and are "dead" to whatever is being spoken from the platform. Threrefore whatever you say, try to keep it light, and if appropriate, amusing

Count your blessings - you only have 5 minutes to do at a time when people are not really listening! It is normally either after lunch or just before people go home.

If you are nervous, it is an easy slot to do as your time is short! However, if you are a good speaker, you can really make people pay attention when they are not really interested!

Have fun!

I have always interprited that to be a time of day that no one is around or doing much. Another referance is in the dead of night the night shift.
It would help more if you said what it is you do and therfore get many answers from people in the know.

It is the time of day when there is less activity. Usually referring to radio spots. What they want is something to try and attract attention during that spell of time.

Could it be a quiet time in the day? Or in the activity you are doing?
