Well he could have. The thing is though, they cant transition him. Unless he wears a mask it'll just be dumnb. He acts like that in public to. WWE has asked him to. A "special" person cant just all of a sudden be normal. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, they do.

The character Eugene (Nicolas Dinsmore) is a bit old by now. Yes it was funny at first, when he came out and did Stone Cold Stunners and Rock Bottoms, but now its annoying.

And yes it would be very difficult for him to lose the 'special' gimmick. How would WWE writers explain this (he got hit on his head hard and now has regained some brain cells?). A mask would work but there are only a few character who play the mask role very well.

Here's a quick fact. Eugene has wrestled with a mask in the WWE. You've probably seen the character before: Doink the Clown. Eugene has wrestled 2 times as Doink the Clown. 1st at Vengeance 2003 (in a bar room brawl) and 2nd on Smackdown (losing to Chris Benoit).

In fact a few wrestlers have been ... Doink'd

BUT YES EUGENE IS LAME NOW!!!!!!!!!!

i like the eugene character and i think that he gives a lot of handicapped kids hope that they didnt have until they saw a person that has problems too and that they can still wrestle.

its a good gimmick and i happen to like it and think that he should get more recognicition for it because it would be damned hard to play a special needs person as well as he does.

and he did wrestle besides doink the clown too.

If Kane can go from burned and crispy to perfectly normal than Eugene can become smart..

Nothing wrong with a retarded wrestler. Hell, Hacksaw jim Duggan is still around. Not to mention Hulk Hogan.

Yes I think so, and they should not have a character such like that to begin with.
