Most of your classmates will be in the same shoes as you are - because they'll be looking for new friends as well hence this already gives you 1 common thing with these people which makes it a lot easier to make friends ....the main way to keep these new friends and get closer to them is by being yourself during these times because you don't want to stuff it up by pretending to be someone you're not.

Dude! First chance you get,go up to the captain of the football team and offer to give him a bl*wjob. Either you will have a husband for the year,or after you get the crap beat out of you there will be no need for friends after that. xxoo

joining clubs can be a good way ... I made friends in most of the clubs I joined (although sometimes you just won't like the people, so then you shouldn't go to that club anymore) Also, you sometimes meet people in class and wind up hanging out with them.

am a first year student.....over summer semester I thought it would be hard to make friends because of the age gap .... most of the ppl I hang with at school are just out of high school or no older than 21 yrs...I'm 38....but I found that they came up to me out of curiousity on why I'm attending college later in my my life instead of straight out of high school etc....ever since then they have called me "mom".....I have found myself looking forward to each day of classes just so I can see my "kids"....lol
