The URL is the 'address' of a file or webpage - it tells computers where to look in order to obtain the file / page.

The first thing you need is to have the song you want in a place where other computers can find it - i.e. on the internet as opposed to on your own computer and this means you need 'web-hosting'. You can get basic web-hosting for free and below are three sites which will allow you to upload (post) your songs for free...

http://upload.ohshare.com/
http://www.quicksharing.com/
http://www.fileden.com/

This site reviews more free web-hosts...

When your song is uploaded to the internet you just need to know what the URL is and with most web-hosts there'll be an admin of file-manager section which will list all the uploaded files and you can get the URL from there.

Another way to get a URL for a file is to point your mouse over the file, left click and select properties - try it with the different links and images on this page.

First, you will need to upload your music file to a host, you can try to use any online filesharing service I believe.
