Merhaba Selin. Not everyone can give a true opinion on this, especially those who are British like me. See, I know the Turkish culture and the people because I am Turkish but alot of the Turks in England are different to those in Turkey or Northen Cyprus. The kids here take on the attitude of those around them...not a criticism of the Brits but more of the government and their policies that makes people turn nasty because of life circumstances. But generally, Turk's are warm and genuine people. And to all those Brits, there are so many horror stories in the press about Turkish men and their willingness to do anything for a Visa. Unfortunately, there are men like this, but don't let the media cloud your judgement. Thats what the media is there for, to brainwash and to take us towards a Big Brother future. When you meant someone, take them as they are and on their individuality and not what you have heard. There are many creeds and nationalities that try to get Visa's - and so don't single out the Turks!

Honestly, I (a Nigerian) used to associate your country with an abundance of turkey! Even at my more mature age now, I cannot single out a Turk from the crowd, not to talk of knowing much about them. However, I feel that you people ought to be a moderating link between the west and the Arab world, as you are close to both.

Hi! Selin, you have a wonderful country and as an Australian I cannot thank the Turkish Government enough for looking after the WWW1 graves at Galipoli. All the best.

You have a beautiful country. The people in Turkey are very nice. I must say that the ones in the UK, not all of them, are a bit rude. But thats not because they are turks. Its because of the people they hang around with. I am British. Merhaba

British. Been to Turkey twice and loved it, the Aegean, Turkish Baths, food, landscape. Didn't like Turkish men who are extremely annoying and predatory. Would go back again, but this time would like to see Istanbul.

Wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people, friendly and un-friendly people, so I don't think that you mean so much what the Turks are like as much as what your politics are like. The way of life for every country is different and all should respect that when they visit other countries. What the Turks (or any other nationality) do in their country is their business, what is wrong is when they interfere with other countries. So in your countries case - you should return Cyprus to the Cypriots to whom it belongs.
