My first husband was insane. He thought that vampires had sucked out my soul and so he raped me. When he wouldn't promise to not put a stake through my heart, I left.

With my second husband I was guilty. I married him without loving him or even being attracted to him. I just figured he'd grow on me. I found someone else who I thought I loved but did not cheat on him. After I was injured in a car accident, he did nothing to help me and I used that as an excuse to divorce him. In reality, he had no idea of the extent of my injuries because I hadn't explained very well and he was not with me at the hospital. In my defense, the reason my explanation was so bad was because I was brain injured and not thinking clearly. I feel bad for treating him badly but I think we are both better off apart.

He was really lazy! He definitely had an aversion to being consistently employed and it was a constant source of our strife! It wasn't the lack of money that he was (or wasn't) contributing, I just have NO respect for sloth-like people that don't contribute anything constructive. I would come home from work and there would be dirty dishes in the sink, the garden needed watering, the laundry was piled up....etc, etc. Eeeesh I have no patience with redundant human beings! I guess I didn't understand why he just liked to lay around while everyone else was bustin' their butts to make a living! Good Riddance!

First husband got into drugs; I was into my education. The two didn't fit together. Second husband was cheating on me. Everyone knew it but me, and wouldn't tell me because they didn't want to get involved. Third and current husband has been there for 16 years. We have our problems, but who doesn't? I think I'll keep him.

Because he:
slept around
abused me
neglected me and my children
and ultimately, abandoned me.

Haven't seen him in at least 12 years...
