It's my research project. I already have a thought about it but I need to expand just to be safe.

Obviously, math has something to do with it. I think it's about making computations more easy but accurate. Both algebra and geometry that includes numbers.

You need to include much more information. Making numbers easy could be for anything, you don't specify what. You are also not mentioning how making numbers easy pertains to your topic. And if you need to expand on the idea you already have then by all means include it or we won't be able to help at all.

numbers ARE easy!!! It's math that's difficult :)

Have you covered using units? It's a very handy tool that can be used to simplify math.
You have likely covered the tricks with 9 & 11 multiples?

*the sum of digits in any multiple of 9 will be 9
when multiplying 11 by any two digit number add the first and second digit together then insert between the first & last number of the original number to get the anwer:
11X 43:
4 + 3 = 7
11 x 43 = 473
if you get qa 2 digit answer (such as 5+6=11) just carry it over to the next column:

11x56= 616
5 + 6 = 11 ~ the middle number will be 1 and you carry the "10" over to the hundreds column (5 + 1 = 6)

What exactly do you mean by "making numbers easy"?

Are you talking about math or something else entirely different?
