I guess u have answered the question all by yourself lady!! They are just 'stories' of snakes, and as u may know, stories are fictitious! Snake worship is one of the most ancient religious practices of India. Obviously, there should be many stories around it. If at all there was a Nagamani, atleast one of the many animal specialists today working on snakes should have found it!! It is a very personal as well as religious belief that snakes can attain several physical forms. If u believe, it is true, if not, it is not!! Indian movies, folklore and other forms of literature have boosted this belief very well. so many movies have been made on snakes that enforce the form changing mythology. With all due respect to all the snake worshipping religions and tribes in India, snakes are just another species of animals with an interesting lifestyle and beautiful bodies. All that matters is the way you look at them. I've always been very attracted to snakes because of their looks.

I have visited the snakepark many times and saw the snakes and heard about them from the mouth of the warden there. I have"n heard such things in real life. They don"t carry diamonds but poison.

of course they are....can u imagine anyone with a diamond on his head...give it a break...every religion is full of mythologies and hinduism is no exception...and snakes taking several forms!!!! next u will ask about female snake taking revenge for her husband....all this is myth...actually people are very afraid of snakes due to their slithring body and ability to go almost anywhere....plus their eyes are very piercing because they dont have any eyelids....thats why they cook up stories..
