The Grateful Dead.
I have seen some other great performers - Pink Floyd, Queen, Robbie Williams, but there is nothing quite like a Dead show, they just had a life of their own.

number one has to be TOOL in a small club before anyone latched onto them. everyone there kinda knew who they were, but they were so f**king awesome the whole standing room crowd of about 200 were in shock. after they finished each song everyone just stood there not really believing how killer they were. they probably thought we were the worst crowd in the world....to be able to see the energy of their first album standing only 15 feet from them was mind blowing.
metallica (masters..) and ozzy (ultimate sin)...sf
rage against the machine
pink floyd.....most definately....after waiting overnight for tix to get front row....never ever miss a floyd show.

number one - Pink Floyd. Awesome show. Saw the concert in Montreal, and Winnipeg. (The Wall tour).
Next to that - Alice Cooper's 'welcome to My Nightmare'
Number three - Van Halen - '1984" tour (hot for teacher, best ever)
Number four - Rolling Stones (seen 'em many times but the Winnipeg 'Bridges to Babylon' concert was great - If I wasn't such an old stoner I'd give this one the #1 spot...).
and I cannot deny Mr Scott, God bless him. AC/DC "He made it out- with a bullet in his back."

I've seen some really great ones live...Black Sabbath was awesome...so was Jimmy Page back in '88 on the Outrider tour...they are the best live ones I've seen...Aerosmith was okay but they could have been better...
