Apparently he was visiting Anna at the hospitial where she had just recently given birth to a 6lb 9 oz baby girl in the Bahamas.
He fell asleep in a chair and Anna found him dead.

Daniel Smith Smith died at the maternity ward in Doctors Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas on September 10, 2006, days after his mother Anna gave birth to her daughter. According to the Bahamas Police Force, there were no signs of physical injury or violence. Police are waiting for the pathology report before making further determinations.

Nope, not until the autopsy report comes in.
He had a massive heart attack and collapsed in the maternity ward at the hospital where Anna Nicole gave birth to her daughter. He was with her celebrating the birth of his baby sister.
You may not like Anna Nicole but you have to admit that this is a sad situation.

No, but what an awful thing to have happen! I was just reading about it and it sure sounds bizarre! He had apparently fallen asleep in her hospital room and passed away sometime during the wee hours...As much as I do not care for her, NO ONE should have to go through the loss of a son!! It has affected my mother far beyond anyone's comprehension and I watch my mother's daily torture and sadness! (I lost my brother to a brain hemorrhage 2 yrs ago-he was never sick a day in his life!!) My mother will NEVER be the same (nor will I!) I truly feel for Anna Nichol!

Are you kidding about Daniel dying, when, was it on the news. If this is a joke it's pretty sick, you must not be a parent, if your NOT joking, then I apologize, I feel so sorry for Anna Nicole

The cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy has to be performed. Once we would have (carried out) an autopsy, (this) would confirm the exact cause of death."
