Don't be scared as it doesn't mean a death at all. Giving birth means ideas, projects or new beginnings. The fact that you gave birth to four could mean that you have actually completed four projects or had four beginnings in your life. If this is not the case then I would suggest that you have several ideas waiting to come out and the dream is telling you to put them in to practice! If it is the former, ie. you have had 4 new beginnings, then the fact that you told the midwife there were no more babies, means that you will have no more new beginnings, you are on your right path in life. The fact that you felt real pain suggests that these were painful periods you experienced but you won't have to go through them again. Hope this helps put your mind at rest.

The probability is that you were suffering indigestion during the night from something you had eaten which produced a pain. In you sleeping state your brain was aware of the pain and associated it with pregnancy which produced the dream you had.
It would be interesting to know if before the dream you had any thoughts or fears at pregnancy which triggered the dream based of the pain? Usually the thought is there somewhere in your brain box.
There are some dream interpretation website have you tried those?

Hi Susie. being a man I can honestly say I have never dreamt about childbirth. But if I had to a guess at its meaning, I would say that there is something in your life that you are worried about happening. You dont say whether you have children or not. Childbirth is enough to scare you, especially if its an unknown to you. I'm not a dream reader or physic but I would imagine that having a dream about something new happinging in your life, something that will take a lot of effort and time, is a subconscious calling within you telling you what your real fears are. One child would totally change your life. Four would be a job for 4 or 5 ppl.!! I'm guessing that you are happy with you l;ife at the moment, but you would like children at some stage. Its enough to scare anyone!

I looked it up ages ago, and it was meant to mean that you're maturing and growing up. But I've been having those dreams too since I was about twelve and I keep on getting them. Maybe it means that your broody? Because I want to have a baby but I can't until I'm married and a little more secure and all that junk and yet I still dream that I'm having babies!

"FACT OR FICTION ? ". But in a dream ?

look these things are myth's never concentrate on them they arent real...dont be superstitious...superstition is never right..
a deam is A series of mental images and emotions occurring during sleep and A state of mind characterized by abstraction and release from reality...even if you have watched any show which is about pregnency or giving birth to a baby doesnt matter you watched it a year ago or just before few hours brain is always putting old memories in mind so if something like giving birth to a baby poped up in your mind that definately doesnt mean that someone is going to die so be happy....

To dream of giving birth or see someone else giving birth, suggests that you are giving birth to a new idea or project. It also represents new beginnings or some upcoming event. A more direct interpretation of this dream, may represent your desires/ anxieties of giving birth or the anticipation for such an event to occur.

To dream that you are giving birth to a non-human creature, signifies you overwhelming (an unfounded) fear in the health of your baby. You are overly concerned that your baby may have birth defects. This type of dream is common in expectant mothers in their second trimester. If you are not expecting, then it refers to your fear in the outcome of some decision or project. You are trying to overcome difficulties in your life and achieve inner development. In particular, if you dream that you are giving birth to a monster, then it implies that your inner creative energy has yet to differentiate itself and grow into expression. You may hold some hesitation in releasing this "monster" for fear that others will judge your or that they will not accept your ideals.

To dream that the mother dies during birth, represents transformation. The dream represents the ending of one thing (death) and the new beginning of another thing (birth). You may be making life changes or getting rid of your old habits and ways.

Birthday Cake
To see a birthday cake in your dream, indicates that the best of your wishes will be realized. It also represents your willingness to let people in and share your life with others.

Pregnant
To dream that you are pregnant, symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal.

If you are really pregnant and having this dream, then it represents your anxieties about the pregnancy. Women in the first trimester of their pregnancy tend to dream of tiny creatures, fuzzy animals, flowers, fruit and water. In the second trimester, dreams will reflect your anxieties about being a good mother and concerns about possible complications with the birth. Dreams of giving birth to a non-human baby are also common during this period of the pregnancy. Finally, in the third trimester, dreams consists of your own mother. As your body changes and grows, dreams of whales, elephants and dinosaurs and other larger animals may also start appearing at this stage.

To dream that you are pregnant with the baby dying inside of you suggests that a project you had put a lot of effort into is falling apart and slowly deteriorating. Nothing works out the way you want it to.
