The definition of "Public transport" in Singapore means "you need to pay a fare according to your distance travel. It can only be on buses, "MRT" and taxis." For your info, there is no free lunch in Singapore, the highest fee for visiting a toilet is S20cents.

train, bus, mrt, taxi, etc.
they probably meant for you to take bus or mrt (mass rapid transit).
