I never understood the whole "Pete Doherty" thing, he just kinda appeared over night and was proclaimed as the "kurt cobain" of the current generation. What a crock of sh*t! The guy has no talent and has pretty much had NO CAREER!
He is the perfect example of what the UK press can do if they want to - make a nothing into a something and back again.
Personally I think they best thing we can do with Doherty is lock him up and simply forget him. Martyr my ****. He's crap.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE TOPPING ON THE CAKE:
The British rock star avoided jail sentence last week when the judge ordered him to continue time in rehab rather than prison. At the same time, his landlord evicted him from his East London flat, calling Doherty the "worst tenant in the company's entire history."
He mentioned there was "both graffiti and blood on the wall, and goodness knows what else."

Because if he was placed in prison people would say he was some kind of martyr for the youth of today, which in turn would increase his record sales, which in turn would give the media even more reasons to write about him, its sad but true;)
if the media didnt report about him then nobody would really give a toss about him, bigger and better musicians have all had there 'drug' problems and either died or came through it, he aint the first to live this lifestyle and he aint the last either;)

Apparently, he's not going to prison because he has been doing so well in rehab. And Babyshables are perhaps the worst band I have ever heard. Definitely a custodial offence.

He *hasn't* escaped jail. The judge considered rehab initally a better proposition (let's face it, drugs are rife in prison) and he's going to be formally sentenced on December the 4th. This happens to "normal" people as well.

He is so revolting. There are pictures of his house in Australia's NW Magazine and he has discarded syringes on the floor and blood and s..t smeared on the walls. What does Kate Moss see in this loser?

It's the all-pernicious cult of the celebrity. Even the judge said he liked his music! Bang him up, I say, and let him take his chances in the showers.

Don't know, but I bet his solicitor is in high demand - anyone who can keep that waste of good skin out of prison must be good.
