This is quite tough question. The best player's got to have the best skills. He has to have the best fundamentals. He has to be overall player, right now in the NBA there are few players like that. I would say LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul are the best three. Each of them has still some weakness but all of them have great skills in defence, offense. They can dish the ball, they can score, they can steal the ball and they can delete the opponent. Also Chris Paul is a great team player, that's why I put him on the same line with DW and LeBron. These guys can play team ball too, but Paul's style is to BE a team player. You may think of Kobe. Yeah, of course he is a great shooter, can play good defence when he wants to, but I don't think he can play such a team ball like the others can.

The answer is Steve Nash. All I have to say is 2 time reigning MVP. The guy and done nearly everything with merely nothing. Name another player on the team that you could even consider putting on this list that is on the Suns. You can't but yet they were serious contenders to win it all this year and the last. He is the only player in the league that can take a bunch of average pros and turn them into championship conteders.

This best player in the NBA has to be Tim Duncan. Great team player and plays the game right. Not to many people put him up there with King James, Kobe, and D. Wade, because he is quite, but he has to be the best in my opinion

Kobe Bryant... he took the Lakers to the playoffs w/o Shaq, in the very competitive west. He is currently thr best player in the NBA, hands down.
