Hello: You can go to your local pharmacy and they sell behind the pharmacy section a plastic pill dispenser that has the days of the week on it and you put your pills for the day in the part corresponding to what day it is. That way if you take three pills a day, you place three pills in the section for that day and you will always know how many you took by seeing how many are left. Hope this helps.

Put them in a pill box. Put 3 in each little space and if one is gone, you know you took one, and so on. You should space them out too, seems like 3 times per day, over a period of a 12 hr day, would be every 4 hrs, but check with the pharmacy in the drug store, any would do, they all know what that means. But the pill box is the only way to keep up.

SUPERBOOKS1@yahoo ANSWERS:

There are many ways to remember if you took your aspirin or allergy tablets or prescription medicine if you can't just remember -the regular way .

Here are some ways:

Use a small memo pad in the kitchen or wherever you take the tablets. Write down the time and day , each time you take the tablet. Or Write a new page every day , date it today, for example, then you just need to write the time that you took the pills.

Be sure and always mark AM and PM so that you do not get confused later.

WATCHes: There are certain TIMEX watches, sport watches that have a place to set up to twelve alarms. So buy this watch and set the alarms once and these alarms will go off each and every day at the times that you set. So, when the alarm goes off, take your pills and you are done -until the next alarm goes off.

Pill COMPARTMENTS: SOmetimes people need to take lots of pills or vitamins or mineral supplements. Sometimes these piill compartments are best to keep track of things. You can buy pill compartments (little plastic containers that are marked MONDAY TUESDAY etc.) at drug stores or at garage sales. The drug stores sell them with as many as thirty compartments --enough for a months supply of pills.

For heart patients or people with diseases that require lots of pills each day, you can even use many pill compartments if the regular one is not large enough.

PHONES: If you are severely forgetful and none of these work for you, you can, as a last resort, have someone call you to remind you to take your pills.

THE NET: You can send yourself emails to remind you to take your pills. You can send yourself greeting cards (these are sent automatically on the days you want them sent), and or regular emails at different intervals, depending on how many pills you take. (this is a last resort and might not be too helpful if you don't use the computer every single day ) .. but it still is an option for those who need it.

NOTES: Note yourself , a little post-it note..saying that you took your pills or not , that might be helpful.

ROUTINE: For example, i was always forgetting to take a regular vitamin once a day because I was rushed and always had such a hectic schedule. So, putting the vitamins in a place that I went to every single day -reminded me to take a vitamin. Every since then I do remember every day . For example, if I have tea every morning, then the vitamins would be placed next to the tea bags and then when I saw the tea, I'd remember to take a vitamin. For another example, if you are a bike rider and you ride every single day, you can leave your vitamins on the seat of your bike and take one every day before you get on your bike. Whatever you do every day, put your pills there (be careful of children.and don't leave these pills if small children are around).

So, perhaps if you have small children..and they can easily reach things, you can leave your vitamins inside your car..this way every day when you drive off, your vitamins will be 'with ' you already and you can take one.

Just use your imagination...and you'll find many many ways to remember your pills.

Here's one last one, say that you watch a specific tv show each day or a specific radio show ( you listen to) , then you can take your pills when you watch Regis (for example) then in the daytime if you are forgeting whether you took your pils or not, you can remember that YES you do, because you watched Regis.. Take the pill BEFORE the show starts..and you are all set.

So, what's your ideas for remembering your pills?

People suggested a nomad (Tablet organiser) Should you not be able to get one then maybe you could put 3 doses of tablets in 3 little individual sachets and keep them in an envelop. That way ... You know when you have taken your tablets because a sachet's gone etc.

And if you wonder about time to take them ... Do what i do! Stick your mobile phone on alert so that, comes the time to take your tablets ... It rings quickly and you know to take them!

Get a pill organizer and prepare it for example each Saturday for the entire week. That means that only once a week you need to get it all sorted. Be careful taking to many. It depends on what you take, but too many is never good, especially w/ medication.

Put the tablets in one of those boxes for the elderly that divides them up into certain days and times. Take them only when you set an alarm so you'll know then.

Go to the store and get a pill organizer or whatever its called. It has the days on the top of each opening. You put the pills inside that you need to take for that day. My husband uses these to help remember also.

you can activate your reminder feature in your mobile phone, reminding you to take the first tablet after breakfast, the second after lunch and the third after supper if that is the scheduled time that you are going to take your meds. that way you won't take more than three tablets a day as prescribed.

Buy a new bottle of tablets for forgetfulness...

On a more serious note, use the alarm on your mobile phone to remind you...
