Do not pay for a job! Sturgeon's Law applies to the Internet in a special way. I call it Sturgeon's Law of Advertising.

Years ago, science fiction writer Theodore Sturgeon was asked "Why is 90% of science fiction such BS?" "Because," he replied, "90% of everything is BS." This became known as Sturgeon's Law. In the 1970s, Mr. Sturgeon agreed that 95% was probably more accurate. Lately, I've been using 99%.

But advertising, and especially Internet advertising, has its own rule. The figure is more like 99.99... percent, and we really don't know how many nines there are after the decimal point.

So if you want to work at home, be completely independent. Decide what it is you want to do -- sell something on the web, or offer some service -- and offer your goods and services honestly, and price them fairly, and you will get enough business to raise your daughter right.

If you learn a web design program like Dreamweaver or Front Page, you can design a web page that pays for itself. Registering a domain name is not expensive, and if you accept advertising, you can probably make enough money to support whatever else you want to do. But don't be a sucker for any pyramid schemes, which is Sturgeon's Law most of what is out there.

I really don't quite get your question? If you would work in a full time or part time job and would have to commute to work via train, tube or car you have to pay for the form of transport to get to work. May it be petrol or the ticket you have to pay for, do you tell your boss his work is a scam, because you have to pay to get to work? Of course lot of internet job offers are not what they promise. That fact makes it even harder for the companies that do offer genuine jobs online. Some of those costs are fees to allow you using the companies software and get access to all their administration tools. It is hard to differenciate between genuine work and even selling staff on ebay costs you some money in some state. If you are really interested to work online I welcome you to one of my conference chats. Contact me and I invite you to our next chat and you can ask questions before you do anything else. Have a great day.

Well it is obviously a scam...try getting a skill like network administration...you can administer several networks at once over the internet.
