I'm doing some research about the estate.

Do you live in the area? Do you frequent a shop that sells something special? Is there an old food stall that does things traditionally? Maybe a building that is slightly out of place? Or a person who has lived there all his life?

Do you know the swimming pool area was a refuse dumping ground in the 60s and presently next to the secondary holding school (former Victoria Sec. Sch.), there is one big building PUB sewage pumping station. Next to it, the former Civil defence HQ (now vacant). For your info.

Kallang Bahru . . . hmmmm

If you consider Upper Boon Keng Hawker Centre (The one near Kallang MRT Stn) within the estate, then it must be and has to be the Kambing Soup Stall. The only place in Singapore where you can get a 5* Kambing Soup. Leg soup, brain soup, meat soup . .. you name it all parts available. Whats more, you can even top up your soup FREE, parts excluded though.

I remember the days when I used to have late supper there, with my kakis, alotof bikers frequent the place by night and hang out. Especially on those cold rainy nights . . .what a way to enjoy your soup kambing.

I guessed thats all i have to contribute.

Cheers.
