If you missed Bush's speech, you missed a good speech. Before you get all bent out of shape, I am not a Bush supporter and was totally against invading Iraq.
I wouldn't be surprised if time reveals that the evidence that convinced Bush, the Republicans, the Democrats, and the UN that Saddam had WMD was spoon fed to the CIA by Iranian agents. We were still reeling form 9/11 and still a nation in fear of attack. Iran and Iraq had been at war for decades. What better way could Iran have to topple Saddam than to have us do it for them. With Saddam out of the way, they could easily enact a plan to take the country over in a civil war, as is going on now.
We should have never invaded Iraq. But now that we are there, we cannot leave until the Iraqi people can defend themselves.
Iraqis are still joining the Iraqi armed forces in droves. This despite the fact the terrorists have been targeting recruits. I think this fact shows that the Iraqi people want peace in their country as much as we do. As long as there as bus loads of recruits joining the Iraqi army, we must support them.

NO. At the TUC the RMT walked out as Blair was about to speak. Also, lots of heckling from the conference floor. Blair and the TUC do not like each other - Blair and therefore Labour are doomed, unless they can get their act together soon. Civil war has already broken out in Labour ranks - the next Genl.Elex is a long way off. Let's hope Labour sorts out it's differences, otherwise we could be headed for another 20 years of the kingdom of doom. Don't blame me, I did not vote for it.

i think you`ll find a vast majority of americans are starting to see what a warmongering, lying idiot bush is - about time!
the americans are disliked and even distrusted in a lot of countries because of their bully-boy tactics - until that is changed i can`t see things getting any better.
tony blair is a very close second - between the two of them they have made the world a more dangerous place.

I heard it.
The reason is because the West face a mortal danger from the terrorists.
It does not help that the West suffer from the 'fifth column' of the so-called liberals.

Americans seem to occupy a parallel universe. The fact that their president can stand before them attempting to justify his insane foreign policies and be taken seriously tells us everything we need to know. America is the greatest threat to global peace and security there has ever been. We are in mortal danger.

No, I tend to skip all of his speeches. He is trying to force feed the same bs rhetoric that he has cried about all along. He can't get out of office soon enough. Not that he was elected in the first place.

If they weren't all terrified of the rest of the world they'd have other things to think about and they'd realise what an a$$hat George W is and overthrown his tyrannical government with all those guns!

No, I don't think anyone watched it. Most people were tuned in to date my mom and trading spaces. I was watching roseanne reruns from the 80s but switched to oprah during the commercials.

Ignorant fools like you are the leaders in passive aggressiveness that leads to utter destruction.
Just watch and see, which you are already doing, but on top of that, try not to listen to the lame-*** media that warps everything that is good into something that is bad!
You are mislead, misinformed, and will see for yourself just how RIGHT President Bush is!
