I am helping my brother find an affordable living in an apartment or studio. He move to L,A to atted California State University-Los Angeles but he resently stared his first semester at California State University-Long Beach. He lives with family memebers but lives way to far from school, it takes him 30 min to get to school. He will also needs to re-locate there for work but right know it seems he doesn't have a enought time to look for a new place since his really besy with driving far going to school and driving back home for work. I hope anybody who attends the same school and lives in the same city can give me some info where to find an affordable place to live for my brother. His such a great guy. His going for his major in ART/ILLUSTRATION just in case anybody wanted to know. I hope you guys out there can help me. Thank you Sarai

Wow, I was dying to help you out until I read that he lives a mere 30 minutes! from school. Sweetheart, I live 45 and most of the 40,000 plus commute at least a half hour... Secondly, if he lives with family he should stay put. Places in Southern California are as expensive as it gets. If he tries to get a cheap place in Long Beach, he wil be in a very, very, very,very, crummy area. I'm talking like he must NEVER WEAR RED or he will be in danger and I'm not joking. Have you tried craigslist? Most young people go there. He will most likely have to share housing....30 minutes? Honey, in LA that is a trip to the grocery store....try an hour or more for a commute.

Modesto fresno and stockton are all good even merced ... Oh Please with the honky tonk bars.. some people think if you ain't within a big city or 10 minutes from the beach, you might as well get your klan robe washed to look presentable at the cross burnings!
