i would say that in this day and age most pregnancy devices are accurate......the only thing could be that you are testing too early....your estrogen levels should increase substantially once you are 1 week late....

The cheap Dollar Tree brands work just as well as the more expensive ones. If you have not missed your period yet then it might be too soon to tell. Also if you have not missed you period then i would not recommend buying the digital test because they require more of the pregnancy hormone to be in your system and would probably show not pregnant. The sick (two lines) tests will detect smaller amounts of the hormone if you are pregnant. So wait a few days and try again it will not matter too much what brand you use it all depends on what you can spend. If you don't start a week or two after you are supposed to then I would call you Dr. so you can figure out what is going on.
Good luck.

Yes you could still be pregnant. The best time to do a preg test is first thing in the morning because your urine is less diluted and it is more likely to detect the pregnancy hormone. You are supposed to wait until you miss your period, the later you are the more likely you are to test positive. I recommend the test first response, it detects 5 days before your expected period and confirmed all of my pregnancies. Cheap test should still work though. Not all women just know either.

I may be pregnant, and I bought two one dollar tests, both came out negative. then we spent like, 20.00 on two obviously expensive ones, and it's still nope. my suggestion is if it says no and you miss your period, go get it done by a doctor. that's how I had to find out with my first. and even some women don't produce enough of the hormone for any to work. the tests all use the same chemical though, so I don't think the price would effect the outcome. the expiration date might have, though!
if you buy them from the dollar tree store, and test on the second day your period is supposed to come, they are pretty accurate.
congrats if u are, good luck!

ANY pregnancy test can be wrong, even an expensive one. Your best bet to find out for sure is to go to the doctor and let them take a test using a sample of your blood, and get an ultrasound. Hope this helps.
