Avast anti virus is one of the best free anti virus programmes available today. If you are looking for the best free product, try AOL Active Virus Shield. It is powered by Kaspersky and uses the same database as the commercial product with one of the best detection rates. It inclused automatic updates at regular intervals which is valid for one year. As in the case of Avast, you have to register with your email address for this product.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Yes. It is very good.I know from my personal experience. It is esspecially good for things that you are downloading. It will pick out viruses immediatly before the program you are downloading or the page you are opening. It also upgrades by itself every 2 or 3 days.Try it. It is really efficient.

I tried Norton, AVG and Avast. Avast is the best, norton is crap, AVG is average. Avast updates automatically. i need not worry about anything. it just scan and scan all incoming files and those in my com. norton eats too much ram.

I'm not sure about his one as I have never used it but there is another software out there called AVG available from Grisoft.com that I use that is very easy and very reliable. Plus they have a free version that you can download and try out for a while.
