Oh, try looking at drugstores by yourself to see if they have dental stuff on sale such as floss, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. Then, take your boyfriend with you and be like "Wow, this is really cheap. Let's split it because I don't need x amount of this stuff."

Without offending him? Well....I don't think that is possible. He will probably be embarrassed and a bit offended, but you shouldn't really concern yourself with that. This is like the most embarrassing thing to tell someone. This and body odor, but sometimes it has to be done.

I would start off saying it as a joke, but then get serious. For example,

You: Honey, ummmm....sometimes your breath be bangin'....Wooohooooo......I mean straight hummin'.

Him: Oh...you buggin'. Stop playin.

You: I'm not. (looking at your man seriously. No longer smiling) I know it's a bit embarrassing, but for real honey...your breath stinks sometimes so......here (BAM! You break out a 12 pack of mint Tic Tacs). I bought you these to start you off, but you should really carry around some Tic Tacs, Mentos, Altoids or something.

Him: Is it THAT bad? For real?

You: (you say as your shoving a Tic Tac in his mouth)Yes. (He sucks on the Tic Tac for a second and you say) Now kiss me.

One way is to become worry about some other condition then his breath. For example you could say that you think he may have a stomach problem. He also could have a problem with his teech, so it is worth to ask. Remember, bad breath is a result of some illness. Bacteria in the mouth that causes a bad breath can also eventually lead to a cancer (thoat cancer). . You can take his bad breath buit you do not want him to die of a cancer. That is whay you must act... Thsi gives you the justification.

forget mints and gum. To end bad breath an easy houshold way; this will sound gross but it works: take a spoon (plastic so you can throw it away) and scrape your tongue before and after you brush. That way the buildup will go down the drain and not sit and simmer on your tongue all day. Tell him thats what you do and magically he will have fresher breath! :) Happy spooning!

you'll just have to tell him directly, because it seems that he's not getting the hint.

he'll need to look into brushing or using mouthwash more regularly.. and also having more mints in the day.

tell him gently.. he will probably get a little upset at first, but he wont hold it against u if he truly loves you and is a matured individual.

he needs to change his diet, encourage him away from dairy foods as the lactose in them reacts with stomach acids that make the bad breath. Fresh fruits help and throw away the mints!!! these are short term fix ups.

Sometimes "to be cruel is to be kind"... would you want to know if you had bad breath? I think you should open by saying "I don't know how to tell you this and I'm not trying to hurt your feelings....and I would want you to tell me this if it were me... but you have some bad breath sometimes"....

Say, "baby what mouthwash are you using?" when he tells you say, "it's not working very good" you have puppy breath. Can you please pick up some listerine or something? The puppy breath isn't what we're aiming for this year. hehe Make a joke out of it.

If the bad breath is chronic, go see a dentist. He might have gingivitis.
