Not very easy. To block new versions of MSN, you need to block port 80 and 443. This means that you'll also block the web...

To block Skype, you need to block just about any port...!

The best way is to use Group Policies on your Windows domain to restrict access to the application itself. McAfee also has a great product that prevents software from being run on a computer.
