I was in Illinois just getting out of bed. The alarm went off and some extremist talk radio guy was screaming about the towers. I honestly thought he had finally snapped and lost his mind. I listened to him mostly for amusement. I went in the living room and turned on the news. That's when I realized it was really happening. I will never forget how I felt that day. I was angry and wanted justice.

I had just woken up (Australia) and turned the TV on. I thought what I was seeing was a movie and remember being absolutey dumbfounded when I realised it was actually real. I felt so sad for all the people involved and the people that were killed or harmed.

I was watching Bush read to the kids with his upside down book!

Really, I was at work when I heard about it, then everyone went to watch TVs!

Apparently some used emotions like yours to launch a war against a country that were not terrorist, weren't involved with terrorists nor were they involved with 9/11!

I was going in to work and everyone was terrified, CNN was on the TV and even our customers just came in and stared at it like they were in a trance. I could see by the end of the day that our country had taken a much worse hit than we had realized. I was afraid of loosing my job, of going to war. I was afraid of the opportunism that I knew would come of this.

I was in Leeds (UK) looking round a university. I didn't find out til I got home - it was the afternoon over here - and spent the whole night watching the news, flicking between every channel.

I was on a bike ride for exercise and stopped to buy a newspaper at a convenience store. A patron told me about the attacks and I didn't believe him at first. I rode on home and turned on the television and learned all about it.

GIRL. I live in Hawaii, and woke up early that morning. I wondered why they were showing that documentary on the explosives at the WTC. So I changed the channel, and don't you know it was on another channel. So then I thought....this is happening now...and then they got smooched.
