I don't remember how I got this or where it came from, but it's not in my computer "Add or Remove Programs", neither can I remove it!!! It's its own website that pops up like Internet Explorer, especially when I log on the Internet or when I'm searching. Can somebody help me remove this, it also brings popups like crazy! "Brought to you by Mozilla"

It is a more secure, easier to use, better web browser than Internet Explorer. You get tons less popups when using it on sites with popups, has better security when dealing with viruses, spyware, etc., tabbed browsing feature, and a lot more that IE doesn't have. If you actually want to get rid of it, despite it being better than IE, you can just delete it. Search for it in windows explorer and delete it, then throw away the stuff in your recycle bin. It should be on Add/Remove programs though, so you might have an imposter program, in which case, scan your computer for viruses.

It is a popular browser, gaining on Internet Explorer. You should be able to go to your "control panel" ... then to "add or remove programs" and then to "change or remove programs" ... and you should see it listed as "Mozilla Firefox." You must have selected it as your default browser. You don't need to get rid of it; in fact, you might want to try it out more. It's actually a pretty good browser. Anyway, just turn off your computer, and when you start it up again, click on another browser icon, assuming you have other browsers available on your computer. If all you have is Firefox, then use it to go to IE or Netscape websites, and get their latest versions.

It sounds like your homepage is actually set to Firefox, not like you actually have it installed. Also, Firefox doesn't bring popups, it stops most of them.

Firefox is a browser -- you should really consider downloading and using it if you don't already have it.

It's a MUCH better browser than Internet Explorer. It's MUCH more secure and you'll be much safer from Spyware and Adware just by using it instead of Internet Explorer.

Really, it's the best browser than you can use with Windows. You should really keep and use it to minimize problems with Windows.

If it was the firefox browser it would be in add/remove programs. This is not firefox that you have, this is a browser hijack disguised as a Mozilla product.
Run an antispyware program and really, really check your add/remove programs for anything unfamiliar (things that have the word ad or click or bucks or stuff like that) - uninstall those

i have firefox and it is in my Add/Remove programs. I think your computer infected with a firefox imposter!...that's the only thing I can think of.. Firefox is one of the most popular browsers next to Internet Explorer because it is less prone to security hacks. If you are having these popups, you should run all of your security programs (look at my 360 blog page for what I use). You may have a virus, spyware, adware, or malware and your comp needs serious attention.

do you use limewire or bearshare or other p2p programs? do you have a firewall? do you have high speed internet? good luck.

I think u've got all the answers that u need. Just to contradict those who say that Firefox is the best browser around, IE 7.0 is something special. It's in beta version but so far hasn't crashed on my system, and has the best security feautures that I've come across in a long time. I've tested Opera, Firefox, Mozilla (orig.), DeepNet and Netscape. For any doubts install and check yourself!

Umm i think that its not mozilla thats creating your havoc. A virus got into your system suing mozilla as a mask of some sort. Mozilla is a simple easy to use, sometimes better to work with browser. serves the same purpse as I explorer. If your using windows.

Visit microsoft.com
Only use there virus protection. Its all you need.
I believe the latest one is called windows defender.
download it and do a full scan.

Start there it will tel you all the bad things that shouldnt be there.

FireFox is a Web browser that is much more secure than Microsoft Internet Explorer. I refuse to tell you how to get rid of it because it rules, and MSIE sucks.

well it seem odd for Firefox to do that since it is one of the better web browers in the net. it is know for blocking pops up the best thing you can do is to go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and download 1.5 and install it ( i know that sounds CaZy talk) and then
uninstall it that may work ( for the record i use friefox and i think it is one fine program!!!)
P.S Firefox is the anwer to IE ( that's one for the little guy :D )
P.S.S Inam must be on that crack to say:"IE 7.0 is something special." it's special. special ed
