There are two aspects to improving English. One is to improve your vocabulary and sense of grammar. You don't say what your native language is.

You can get a lot of that by reading books. I would suggest easy reading levels to start, increasing in complexity.

Next is spoken English. I suggest movies as the best way. Preferably older movies in which the grammar is much better than newer movies. Television programs will also give you pretty good examples of spoken English if you focus on news and documentaries.

Remember that British English and American English are different.

Speak, speak and speak with native English speakers. Find a buddy who is willing to help you out. In order to get fluent, learn a set of 25 new words every day. Meanwhile speak when you can to get it into your system. Try to read a good English novel from time to time: Chaucer, Dickens etc.

Best thing would be to move to England for a couple of months and to take a course there, if you have the money and the means to do so.

Listen, speak and read as often as you have the opportunity. Immersing yourself in an English speaking environment will allow you such opportunities. During your freetime, watching English shows, reading English magazines/comics will help.
