I asked a similar question and here was the answer I found most helpful. I give the credit to nightevisions. Hope it helps you too.

It helps to have a relaxing routine before bed. Do something calming. Whatever that might be for you... a warm bath, a hot cup of tea, reading a book...

If you lie there awake when you go to bed, occupy your mind in a non distressing way. Recite a childhood fairytale such as the 3 Bears... and when your mind starts to wander to everyday worries, pull it firmly back to the story... you'll fall asleep before you get past the porridge!

Hi there,

15 hours daily is probably the total time that you are spending on your workstation. It seems to me that you are probably spending the other 9 hours of the day thinking about what you did the whole day and what you have to do the next day! OF COURSE YOU WILL BE TENSE AND NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP!. Anybody would! It is these 9 hours that are the problem and probably not the 15 hours at your workstation. REMEMBER WHEN YOU CANNOT SLEEP IT IS YOUR BODY'S WAY OF TELLING YOU THAT IT NEEDS SOMETHING ELSE THAN SLEEP!

What you need is an hours time everyday doing something which is not related to your work. Half an hour in the morning you can do one of these things:

1. Meditation - Pick a mantra or a word which relaxes you such as "om" or "love" or "joy" or "I choose to be happy" or anything similar. You are the only one who knows which word or statement will work for you and help you to "be there".
2. Go to nature - Go for a walk. Or just go and sit in a park. Look at the trees, the birds. Feel the grass. Touch the leaves. Breathe in deeply as you do these things. Smell the freshness of the air. Look at the sky. Look at the children playing. Look at other people. Just "be there"! Not at your workplace but there in the park.

At night, before sleeping spend another half an hour. Listen to relaxing, soothing music or any kind that you enjoy. And just close your eyes and listen to every beat, every rhythm, every word and "be there" in the music. Or meditate. In the same way as mentioned above. Or just lie down in your bed on your back breathe deeply till you start to feel sleepy.

Of course it will not be easy in the beginning. The thoughts of the workplace will keep coming into your mind. But do not be hard on yourself. Just gently direct your attention towards the thing you are doing.

And finally if your workplace is a place where you feel you do not belong then maybe you need to seriously think about doing something about it. But please do not be hasty in changing your work or the type of work that you do. Think and only then make such a decision.

I hope this helps.

Just try this,
1. Have Early Dinner, by 6-7 PM. Make it more of fruits (more than 50%) than cooked items (Avoid fried items).
2.Before sleeping, put two drops of Honey in the eyes. There would be a burning sensation, but it hellps in sleep.
3. Pranayama of Baba Ramdev in the morning.
if u R not familiar with pranayama, then tune in to "Aastha" channel, at 0600 in the morning and at 08 PM at night.
these things will definitely help u.
best of luck

Hi there !

The only person who can help you is yourself..
Dont think that the entire world is revolving around you and without you, the world is finished... Have the bold atitude to talk openly to your superior and divide the workload with your collegue..
You keep yourself occupied...but not to the extent of losing your sleep and family peace...
Believe me.....
there is NO place for sincerity and loyalty in this world...
You will undestand this ....if not today...............tomorrow..
But take care of your health...

Best of luck...
