why cant you get rid of the bots ... people never come on yahoo caht because of them cant ya get a bot blocker?

There are some programs out there like Yahelite with better bot blocking, but I don't like Yahelite personally. I just use the Ignore button feature to ignore the bots (they are quite annoying and I do wish Yahoo would do something about them).

Download and run ADAware, it's free. Kill some of the crap on your system. Download and install Opera9.x, it's free (and safe). I run a firewall that blocks most of the bots and crawlers, if you don't want to pay for zoneAlarm, download black ice for a firewall, it may help.
IF you have high speed (ADSL) and a lan card/port on your pc - buy a cheapo router! DLink works great, next step up in price is LinkSys, then ($$$$) Cisco.
Run an adware/spyware scan first, bet you got a LOT of stuff running on your system you didn't know about.
