When ur away from home you adopt habits, excessive drinking can become destructive. If he cares enough about he he will change, as for sex drive... my old boyfriend was slightly overweight and drank a lot almost every night, never dampened his sex drive but honestly, it's not a turn on and it is quite disheartening.

I feel for your mate, but if he has aggressive tendancies... keep that bottle away from him, otherwise your mate could end up bearing the results. He just needs to adopt his old life back.

yes alcohol could be a big factor but what was he doing overseas?
he may be under stress another big factor.
illness is another.

there are a great number of things that can effect sex drive in both men and women.
have him go see a doc and make sure all is OK with his health.
as embracing as it is it would be worse if there was something wrong and he did nothing till it was too late

Probably too much McDonalds, and Drugs like Cocaine also will do this, makes a man shrivel up and violent behaviour.... He may be using both alcohol and drugs. Alcohol usually makes men more testosterone so that couldnt really cause it. Unless he is passed out.

Sound like hes one step away from beating his significant other in a drunken rage. Tell him to get off the bottle and onto the treadmill. Be a real man. Not a drunk gorilla.

Alcohol makes one weak, he doesnt have the energy to have sex, and being drunk most of the time means no time for sex.

Why is your friend still with that man? to be honest, there's nothing impressive about him. tell her to move... on...
