terrorism is of several kinds. it all depends on who is branding whom as terrorist. today's terrorist may be called tomorrow a freedom fighter.terrorists are of three types.1.religious terrorists 2.political terrorists 3. people with vested interests.1st type of terrorists, religious terrorists' brains were conditioned by the heads of their religion.if all peace loving people rise their voice against their religious clerics and denounce terrorists of their religion and form public opinion against those religious fanatics, the activities of those terrorists will be curbed. 2nd type terrorists, political terrorists.like LTTE of srilanka, Maoists in India, resort to terrorist activities with an aim to reach their goal. they believe ends justify means. they are to be educated and learn a lesson from the recent transition of Nepal from monarchy to democracy through peaceful manner and even Maoists also participated in the struggle of the people.there is another group of terrorists, who have no ideology either religious or political but they want to make fast bucks by infiltrating in other terrorist groups resort to exhortation, opium smuggling drugs smuggling. for example talibans in Afghanistan. the third type of robbers are to be annihilated completely.if the government addresses the problems of the people it is very easy to curb the activities of the terrorists.for example Britain solved Irish republic army's terrorist activities by dialog

when u run into a fight on the street you can either find some common ground and get along or get into a brawl .... terrorism in the american sense isnt about land or fighting to save ur country ... its a clash of ideals ... if the shoe was on the other foot and a large powerful nation was threatning ur way of life and even ur very religeous beliefs you would resist it also ... but i think the idea that there is organizations internationally of "terrorists" running around the globe threatning to overtake every airplane and nuke every western city is nothing more than pure scare tactics and propaganda to sway public opinion and support for political agendas ... places like iran are facing the same threats as we are as american public, and that is a powerful "new world order" movement that wants to take over completely and change the rules and way of life of everyone to "assimilate" us into their new globalist agenda.

The way to solve the terrorism menace, as per the current understanding, to my mind is twofold.First- use of superior force. Second- the process of reconciliation and correcting the wrongs as perceived by the subjects.

First, the goal should be end the terrorism, not making business.
Second, use a strategy, not bombing everything.

WE pray for illumination on the subject, indeed to find other ways would be beneficial for all concerned. The terrorist are trained in their way to attack, and how could they be persuaded to use peaceful means to achieve their goals? And what are those goals to begin with? I will give it some more thought, and look to see the answers that are coming ?

Not really with this bunch, they have to kill you if you don't believe in their religion. So the only way we can have peace here is if we all became muslim, or if we kill all the muslim radicals. (which I'm sure nether will ever happen) >.> I for one don't like the idea of treating women like things, so I'm never going to crossover.

well, on a serious tip, since no one else has said it. You aren't fighting an army, you're fighting an idea. Don't attack their bodies, address their motivation.
