The craving for acceptance is evolutionary, and we start to show this craving from the time we are born.

It is very important for an infant to feel accepted by its mother, for it will be completely dependent on its mother to take care of its needs and comfort.

A lot of people become psychologically damaged when they fail to satisfy a mimimum amount of this need for acceptance from a young age. They can become neurotic, antisocial, distrustful and even psychotic if they feel that their need for acceptance has no hope of being at least partly fulfilled.

Hope this helps.

FIRST OF ALL ARE YOU A MALE? If you are than my husband says that you guys have this cave-man issue that the more women you bag the more man you are. I believe the opposite!!!!!! The more you are a one women man the more handsome and rugged you are only a real man can commit himself to one woman.....And if this is a female well than you werent raised correctly were you? And if you have been called the ugly word in the past maybe you should try not to look for greener grass.....stay in your own backyard....If he loves you and has a job your doing great? lol....ANGEL

It is called being human.
With time hopefully each of us can let go of some of that and be more of who we are and less of what others think we should be.
I didn't even know I was doing it , then realized I was spending a lifetime trying to please others.
