Everyone has genitals. They're natural, they're part of your body. They're nothing to be embarrassed about. It's true that our culture trains us to be embarrassed about genitalia, but you learn to get over that as you get a bit older. It's not as if your value as a human being is determined by the size or shape of your sex organs.

Besides, the person doing the exam has seen thousands of genitals just like yours, and won't remember a thing about you one hour later. It's really not a big deal.

Its a normal practice everywhere. What is there to be embarrassed about? Male or female, everyone has to undergo medical tests for one or the other purposes. You have to let go of your inhibitions in these circumstances. There is no other alternative.

why? you got something to be ashamed about? if not, then no problem....it's just a guy taking a look at your junk. You get that at the locker room anyway. Now if you get an erection (can't believe bone+ r got censored)....that could be awkward for you but the doctor is probably used to that happening and won't comment. Again...no big deal.

It's perfectly normal to feel embarrassed--I know I probably would as well and I've had to endure some pretty ridiculous stuff to get into the Marine Corps. =/

No, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Think of us poor women when we give birth, everybody and their brother there. You lose all sense of modesty real fast.
