Boot camp is a term for intro training in for military in the United States. It used to last 6 weeks, where you learned fundamentals of being a soldier. Lots of physical training, and learning of basic weapons use. It is also used as a term for any short duration, high intensity training. For example you can go to a school and get your microsoft cert in 2 weeks at a "boot camp"
