I remember playing this game when I was younger at a friend's house. It was a platformer game. At the end of each level, you faced a boss in a rock-paper-scissors game. (I think they called it "paper, rock, scissors" in the game)

You could go into a building and bet a life for a powerup item, like an item that let you read your opponent's mind.

What game is this?

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. One of the first games I had for the Genesis, and a pretty good one.

I couldn't remember which Sega game did, but I had to talk about an old NES game that had rock, paper, scissors in it! Princess Tomato! That is how the boss battles were won! Does anyone remember that game?

Ahh, Alex Kidd. Monkey-like figure, big ears, red jumpsuit.

The don't make games like these any more...
