I got this giant rat (maybe a foot long excluding tail) in my garage . I tried the big Victor trap with peanut butter, and it triped at least 5 times but no rat. I tried glue and nothing stick. I haven't use pioson yet, 'cause i don't want a death in my celing. I think an AK47 would be my last resort, on the rat that is.

Make a trap like the ones they use to catch feral cats. When it goes in to eat the food the door slams shut trapping the rodent

Look on the internet for instructions for making a rabbit gum, scale the size a little larger than the size of the rat, fill it full of peanut butter and black oily sunflower seeds. You have to, however, use hardware cloth on the inside to keep the rat from eating itself out.

OR

you can get a Have A Heart trap of the right size and do the same thing.

But you are catching them live. Use a pellet gun or .22.

Skin em and gut em, dust them with flour and put them into a medium hot skillet and roll them around to get them generally browned. Once that is accomplished, pour a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup on it, let it simmer for about 40-45 minutes, make some rice and sit down to a good meal.

No, that is for squirrels, arboreal rats.

Open the door so it can get out. Are you sure it isn't a possum that got trapped in there? I would put food for it outside of the garage to coax it out, then close the door behind it. Maybe it has a nest in there with babies. Rural rats are different than urban rats. Rural rats would rather live in the outdoors. Has there been some kind of construction going on in your neighborhood lately that may have driven it out of its usual home? We had that problem years ago, but eventually they found a new set of woods to live in. A Jack Russel dog (rat terrier) will also get rid of it. A cat might fix your problem too, but don't get a pet unless you plan on keeping it for the next 15 years.

A big rat trap with some raw bacon will work. The trap will catch the rat on the end of his nose. End of rat. Trust me.

Not just any cat will do you need one with a reputation as a ratter. Some cats could take it on.I think a rat terrier might be ideal as well. Not to be racist and this will sound bad but when i worked in a egg plant I watched a Guatamalon guy use a stick to catch one that size then he broke its neck.best wishes hope this helps.

A Big Cat. A cat around the house does keep mice and rats away. I would use the poison, can't stand rodents.

You can probably go to Home Depot, Lowes and pick up one of those Havaheart traps they use to capture cats or racoons. I caught a squirrel in one once so I am sure it can capture your rat. Happy hunting. Peace and God bless.

u don't want death but don't mind using AK 47 . ? have u tried a cat or a dog ?even if they don't catch the rat ,they will surely chase it in such a way that it will not come back again.
