Not a spray, but you can get an electronic plug in which emits an ultra-sonic pulse (it's too high a frequency for you to hear at all) but which both Spiders, flies and other creepy-crawlies do not like and so avoid like the plague - a couple of those in your house and you shouldn't have any more bother.

There aren't any specific Spider Repellent Sprays or powders, I'm afraid.

The only thing you can do is keep doors and windows shut, since this is the spider breeding season and roving male spiders will come in through these openings, looking for the warm dark places where they will find their mates.

Try reading Charlottes Web and you may well change your mind about spiders. Spiders also eat other bugs, like flies, that invade the house so they are of benefit. If one is somewhere in the house that is 'not on' I pop it in a jar and put it outside. They are, after all, one of the good guys!!

There are probably spays and pesticides out there that you can buy, but a good method is to put a conker in every corner of a room, every room in the house.

Also, if you have painted wall, but NOT wallpaper, spray a fine mist of lemon juice with a bit of water in it. Also do this on carpet. This make your house smell nice aswell!

All this talk about killing.....
Do you know that the common house spider is beneficial in as much as it is e predetor to other nasties in the home?

Spiders are beneficial predators that reduce pest populations (flies, crickets, mites, etc.) in and around homes, yards, gardens, and crops. Wholesale destruction of spiders should be avoided. if you want more info click on the link below:

you could either use a surface spray which you can buy from a supermarket and spray the external perimeter of the house, you can also get professionals to do this but it cost alot more. or you can buy these thingys that you put into a power point and it throws off signals to deter most insects....i have one and can swear on it....very effective it cost me around $60AUD

Scientist do not suggest the use of traps or sprays...
They suggest that you take preventative measures to keep spiders out from your house...
(vacuum, dust, calk all windows, keep trees trimmed from house,
& all wood piles or junk piles away from house.)
However, depending on where you live... regular "house spiders" can be a welcome friend...
because they eat insects in your home & can help keep medically dangerous spiders outside.

Why on earth would you want to stop them, they only do good. They are indoor spiders and do not come in from the outside, they cannot survive outside.
They will consume nastier insects it would be most unwise to eradicate them, best you eradicate yourself
