You are doing what you need to achieve independence, yet, no matter what you do, or what skills you achieve, the best lesson for you is to have the strength to leave and have nothing. I know you will survive. Many of us have. What is the worst that could happen? You may need to rely on others, and I know it is hard to trust anyone. Take the chance. DO NOT LET HIM HAVE ONE MORE MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE. I wish I could be there to help you, yet it is up to you, always. Come on, girl. Get going. Look for help in your community. There are safe houses. Been there. Go. DO NOT LOOK BACK. It is hard.
If someone loves you, they do not hurt you...

Most cities have a temp service. Go there they will place you and often employers will hire temps on full time after they see how they work out. Get out as soon as you can, even if you have to go to a shelter for a while. Contact the Salvation Army or other Christian relief service in your area. Go to legal aid and get some legal advice. Best Wishes!
