Should straight couples be taking such a stance?

absolutely, Angelina and Bradd have always been working towards giving people better living circumstances. However they're usually off somewhere in Africa. I'm extremely happy to hear that they're finally doing something for their own country. They have very strong voices and they will be heard by many, many people.

I know..I know..sigh.So good-looking, so sweet and now he's doing such a noble thing.Probably best not to mess with Madam Lara Croft though....and yes,i would be taking such a stance but only on the condition that my future husband looks like Brad Pitt..lol. And I think Brad and Angelina should even sponsor a few gay weddings on their behalf.Angelina should lend her make-up artist to the brides(we all want to look as gorgeous as her don't we).

Brad and Angelina are both very conscious of other people´s rights, whether at home or abroad, I think its great that Brad has taken this stance and I would think Angelina agrees with him 100%

Gay couples should have the exact same rights as straight couples!

Go Brad!

I'm not quite certain what he's doing. But do you remember that singer and his wife who publically refused to drink orange juice because of Anita Bryant..I think his name was Paul (something)...it seems to be the same type of scenerio..who knows maybe Brad has lots of gay friends.
So, how does it feel to be back from vacation? Like you've never been away I'll bet.

I personally think he's only copying the move that Charlize Theron pulled last year. By the way, her stance worked... In South Africa Gay/Lesbian marraige is legal as of December 2006. I truly hope that BP makes a big enough impact for the US to follow. But then again, with a braindead moron in charge of the country...

Ya know what..... Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are soaring in my estimations. they are iin a position of power and have the ability to influence people and instead of using this influence like most celebrities to push fahion labels and anorexic images or in the case of men womanising attitudes, they are pushing for human rights and equality. I hope this article was correct, because i believe they will do more for gay rights regarding marriage than any political or social movement.... GO PITT AND JOLIE!!!!

Brad says he wont get married till everyone can. In theory, I think thats kind of cool!
Another part of me thinks he is being a goody goody and trying to get people (fans) back in his corner, considering he lost some over the Jennifer/Angelina crap. We will see what the future holds. Perhaps another adoption? My vote is a blind kid from the Chech Republic.

Some Unitarian ministers are also refusing to perform marriage ceremonies until everyone can be married. You go, Brad.

I appreciate straights who take a stance, but gotta wonder about publicity seeking, and whether it's just an excuse to dodge his own commitment.

No wonder guys love his movies!!!! He came up with the perfect excuse for putting off a loved one. "Think of all the single gays and lesbians, I can't be so selfish".
