Depends on the summation of logistics added up for both sides. Really need to know the places before I can make the comparisons. Like my country is really small and spending my vacation locally means nothing to do for me. If you are from a place that is big and takes real time to explore and you never had time to do so before your vacation you could find it worthwhile to stay in.

Some of us never even know our own home town......places of interest ; nice places for holiday etc. Most of us prefer to go abroad.....& be proud of the idea that I've been to ...&....&.....

My point is that be balance.....make time for local vacation & at the same time abroad....so at least the new generation will also know their own country as well as their neighbourhood country....

I love both.....
