Definately English. The number of double meaning words (eg: "I threw the ball for my dog" vs "My sister threw me a party"), funny spellings (eg: "cough" pronounced "koff") and composite words that have absolutely nothing to do with the word they are smushed together to make (eg: "pineapple") is enough to make any normal person give up on English entirely!!
