If ur studying for ur MBA, then it would be better if you stick to ur Current job.
Coz, i doubt you will have any energy left to study after a day's hard work.
It's just a suggestion & i think at this point you should NOT give Importance to money as when ur,
MBA + your current experience,
MONEY WILL FOLLOW. Best of Luck!!!!

I think you know what to do. I do have to say that I had a job that I had to travel an hour and a half each way. I really felt like I had no time for anything and the drive was stressful. I ended up ruining my car, spending a fortune on gas and really being miserable. So, don't just think in terms of time. The extra miles on your vehicle are bad and the extra gas could gobble up any extra money you make. I think everyone else is right, stay where you are, finish your studies and then look around for something in your field.

3 hours commuting time is almost working an extra 2 days a week. the money may seem nice, but if you factor in commuting time and extra costs for gas and wear and tear on your car. You are getting much less then it appears.

You are giving up your social life, you are adding stress to your body. If you are working on your MBA and you give that up, you are giving up future earnings.

I would say NO, I have been in that rat race, it is not worth it. If you say a 50% pay increase, but you are actually losing what is equivalent to 40% of your current work week and the commuting cost as mentioned above, you, my friend will be losing money.

Get the MBA and go for future earnings.

If you feel happy with your work, stay with your old job. Money isn't everything. I like having better hours and not having to drive so far and so long to get to work. Maybe the higher salary won't be worth it by the time you spend so much time driving. An MBA would be very valuable & give you more choices in the future.
Pray for the right decision...good luck.

Forget about the money - take it out of the equation. Then reassess the situation.

Go with what makes you happier. A job is just a means to an end.

Plus, all that extra money you make in the new job would probably be burned up in travel costs.

if oyu love the job you are at and you have no problem and the pay is good stay......

look at you options, you dont pay rent, you like your current possition and location and the HR is form 9am to 5pm hours you like.

the job offer is 35 km away you would have to work longer, but you pay is more by 50%, this might cover rent?????

the real Q is willyou liek the peopel you work for more or less then the one now.

if you dont like you job/peopel you owrk with and are unhappy there is no point

i would stay where you are at. you would have no time to do any thing but work and lose money in travel for gas ins etc and just sit and wait for traffic to move. and you could lose the new job stay where you are at
