When you say you work at a gas station, what exactly do you do?

I mean, it's one thing if you work at a service station that works on cars and you are one of the automechanics. However, there aren't too many of those around these days. They have been replaced by self-served gas stations, where there's one or two people on duty and they mostly take money for the gas and the convience store that's attached.

If it's the later, then I would suggest going back to school, because as I'm sure you are finding out you can't do a whole lot with just a H.S. diploma.

If you're not sure what you would like to do, then there's a good book you might want to check out. It's called, "What Color Is My Parachute" by Richard Nelson Bolles. It might help you figure out what kind of career path you want to follow. You can also talk to a career counslor at your local community collage.

I suggest your community collage, because you can save a ton of money tuition and it's a good starting point.

Did you graduate h.s. is a question that I can't believe that nobody asked! If you didn't, then go back and get it, or get your G.E.D. You should probably continue to do what you have been doing which is continue to work at the gas station & learning everything there that you can, especially if they have a shop & fix stuff there.

A wise man once said that you should figure out what you love & then figure out a way to get someone to pay you to do what you love. That's the best advice I can give you.

Go to one of those trade colleges. I'm sure you can finance it through some type of financial aid. Usually they only take two years and you can train to be a medical assistant, dental assistant, paralegal, etc... That will give you a lot of experience in case you want to go back to school and obtain a higher degree some time in the future.

You can become a real estate agent, a firefighter, a comedian, or many other things without a degree. But make sure you know what you want and discover your passions by exploring and reading. When you've got that passion...work your way up or go get training(if it requires school, then so be it). Remember it's about enjoyment and fun.

Get a degree while you're still young. Talk to the financial aid dept at a college. There's all kinds of grants and student loans to help.

I think a good job would be Animal Control Officer. I don't think you need any formal education, just to like animals and not have a crimainal record. Check it out.
