Now, I am going to answer my own question here. I want you to say whether you agree or disagree. The route I am gonna go may seem strange at first, but I'll get there.

The Bible says that we are all sinners (Rom 3:23)
It also says that Christ died for our sins (Rom 5:8)
In addition to that once we turn from sin, God will forgive us (1 john 1:9)
Once God forgives us, we will be as white as snow (Isaiah 1:18)
When we get to heaven, we will where robes of white (Rev 7:9)

So if God will allow a bunch of sinners like us to be washed white as snow, and to wear whote robes in heaven, will he not also let women wear white dresses at their wedding?

So, if a woman is truly sorry for the sin she has comitted and asked God to forgive her through Christ's blood on the cross, He already sees her dressed in white.

Make sense?

I think that it's fine to wear whatever dress you want for your wedding....especially if you've never been married before, that certainly gives you the green light to wear white. That rule of only virgins wearing white is sooooooooo outdated...if it were true today, the majority of brides out there would not be able to wear white! hehe!
Go with the white.

Ya now what? Quit trying to find an answer that makes you OK. You are! Marriage is great, but God put us on this earth to love each other....Period...Please do not beat yourself up for whatever you believe is a sin in Gods eyes. Have you talked to him lately? You have the ability to comunicate directly to God. He does not see you as a sinner and if white is your choice, then go for it. It has NOTHING to do with purity. So many of our fears are not God. If you truly believe in God, KNOW he loves you. Go forward and be happy. The color of your dress is not what defines you. It is only fabric.

I think in the end it is only a color. Just because the bible states that "sees her dressed in white" really truly didn't mean beige? After all we weren't there back then and who knows what colors were really close to what we now have? I think if your going to get fanatic about the bible it should be about adultery, lieing, stealing things like that but not about the color of a dress worn on your wedding. Enjoy yourself and don't sabotage what you may feel you need to be punished for. Give yourself and your future kids some beautiful pictures to remember.

I heard that the white wedding dress has nothing to do with virginity at all.

It had to do w/ the Kings and Queens of long ago who chose white wedding dresses to show off their status. (At a time when everything was just dirty and filthy... no better way to sure you are loaded then w/ a pristine floor length white dress, right?)

Somewhere along the way it went from showing off wealth to being a sign of purity.

So... it's up to you... does it really matter what color the dress is?

I think you'll be more preoccupied getting married then freaking out about your dress color.

I'm a guy and I say yes. It's not a matter of virginity anymore since girls aren't getting married at 12 these days. It's a matter of whether you want a traditional wedding or something a little more contemporary. If you want white...wear it!!!!!!

You obviously have researched this from the biblical view. As I see it, God sees you on the inside. Doesn't really matter what you're wearing...From a marriage point of view, it may be your last decision based on what's right for you..haha..Wear whatever you want to!

YOU can wear any dress you want. When you are forgiven it is gone forever. Forgiven is totally washed away from memories so you are as white as snow. Go for it girl.

Congradulation.. Your past is gone and the future looks so bright.

I didn't wear a white dress when I married my son's father. I had a nice pretty cream dress.

I don't like wearing white often since it easily stains.

my family always believed that the white dress does not mean virgin covering of the face means virgin. I was brought up to believe that the white dress represents the gown Jesus wore after being crucified. I worn a white dress (i was not a virgin) but i did not cover my face.
