It depends on the month and day. Birth rates are actually seasonal. For example, more people are born in August than any other month. In a group of 23 people, the odds are 50-50 that 2 of them will share a birthday. For a group of 30 people, the odds go up to 71% that 2 people will have the same birthday.

My son and his wife share a birthday (August 24). My birthday is November 15, making me a Valentine's baby. When I lived in Maryland I shared a birthday with a woman with the exact same first, middle, and last names. We were both born in NJ and our social security numbers were 3 digits different. Boy, did that lead to problems with MVA, credit bureaus, etc. Three family members share July 1 as a birthday.
We have lots of other freaky coincidences. Lots of Nancys, Sharons, Scotts, and Barbaras all through marriage, not namesakes. Don't accept 1/365 as an answer. It aint so.

It's rather unlikely that you and I share the same birthday (month and date). The more people you pull into the group, however, the more likely it is that at least two people will have matching dates. Ignoring the minor technicality of leap years, it's clear that in a group of 366 people, at least two must share a birthday. Yet it seems counterintuitive to many that only 23 people are needed in a group to have a 50-50 chance of at least one coincidental birthday. To see why it takes just 23 people to reach even odds on sharing a birthday, you have to look at the probabilities.

You obtain the probability of no match between the birthdays of two people by multiplying 365/365 times 364/365, which equals .9973. Hence, the probability of a match is 1 - .9973, or .0027, which is much less than 1 percent.

I know that they are very small. In a class of about 30 students, you will find that there are a few people who will have the same birthday. We once did this experiment and three people had the same birthday. Hope this helps

In mine and my wife's families April and August are the most popular months (by far) for birthdays.
And what was said about November is true, my daughter's birthday is November 11th and my wife says that she is sure that Valentines day is the reason.

I am not sure exactly, but I know lots of people (including myself) born around November 14. This is exactly nine months after valentines day, so it just goes to show that you are correct in assuming that more people are born in certain times of the year.
Good luck in your search
