Egypt. I never understood the big deal with the pyramids until I saw them in first person. I rode a camel to the pyramids and climbed down inside one - my legs were cramped for days afterward. We spent 14 days cruising the Nile with a group of less than 70 people, stopping 11 times to visit ancient sites. We visited King Tut's tomb - the Valley of the Kings and Queens is awesome. We had the bizarre good fortune to be visiting right after they opened a new tomb - Queen Nefertitti. They only let 50 people in a day to avoid damaging the paintings. Our tour guide got us up at 3 in the morning - my husband and I both got in. The wall drawings looked like they were just painted - unbelievable. Our tour guides were trained Egyptologists, one Christian, one Muslim. We had interesting discussions about religion, culture. This was way before 9/11. We met a British couple. She and I 'escaped' from the ship and somehow managed our way into a 3rd world country home where no one spoke English but we had a grand time. The tour guide wasn't thrilled, nor were our husbands, but I am so glad to have that memory.

In 1982 me, my brother, and parents went on a 3 week vacation across the northwestern US and into western Canada. I still remember what an awesome time that was. We still talk about that vacation even today.

Of interest, I would have to say a vacation in my mind. When I was in a coma for four weeks, I traveled to far away lands, rode the orient express, traveled in time and space, had adventures, and had way too much sex. Now, even eight years later, I remember all of it as if it really took place.

I took a trip to the Bahamas on a Carnival Cruiseline. I had such a good time. I have been on two different Carnival cruiselines and they are always so pleasing. I thin keveryone should experience it, because there is nothing like around the clock good quality foods, continuous sources of entertainment, and pure enjoyment.

Gatlinberg, TN. It was a blast we climbed mountains, and camped, white water rafted and climbed high ropes courses and then on the last day got all dressed up showered and what not and went out for steak in the town and to the Aquarimium, what I really liked though was the camping and climbing.
