does anyone know what life is all about and why we are here?

There was this sentient energy guy or God. All alone. Then one part of his consciousness comes up with this great Universe idea. "Lets make some people, someone we can talk to, have fun with, etc." Kind of like the reason the best kind of people want kids, only better. "And of course they'll need a planet which will need a sun and an ecosystem....." You get the idea. But as for the rest of the universe, lets just say he had ideas for that too.
He gave everybody free will, including the servants/angels that he created. A few of them got all materialistic. Their light turns to darkness. Lets just say, when you mix colors of light you get white and when you mix colors of pigment you get black. Now they don't fit in, and they get all rebellious and mean. They get down-right evil. They are trying to convince Gods people that evil is cool. That aught to hurt Gods feelings, because the people will be too corrupt to be perfect, so they won't get to go to perfect-place/heaven, God's home. They think that tormenting Gods creations is fun too. They know they are going to loose the battle. Like a mean football team that is never going to win the game but they have to finish it anyway, they beat the opposing team up, they don't care about penalties, they are going to loose anyway, so they are going to go down kicking. And let's not forget about their lies, especially the ones about God being some bully.
Life is about getting tight with your creator. Resisting the "bad guys", not falling for the lies, dodging their bullets and preparing your self for the biggest battle of all. Life is a college, with martial arts classes, as well as the other usual classes. Some classes you choose, some you don't. There are tests, some you'll pass, some you'll fail, but what is important is your reaction & what you learn from the test. The goal is to come out stronger, smarter and more like the person God designed you to be (less like what the enemy wants to twist you into).
The above is my opinion of some of what the New Testament teaches, expressed in an odd sort of way.
To make a long story short, read the bible, starting with the new testament.

heres my realistic viewpoint:
life was an accident, and nothing more
therefore life itself does not have a point, no "higher purpose" or anything like that, however if you think about it, if something has no purpose, but it exists anyway - doesnt it become its own purpose?
so heres what i say: the purpose of life is life itself, so live it and enjoy it while you can

No one knows for sure. You just live your life, believe what fits the best for you and then when you die, you find out the truth.
